Volunteer

The FoH greatly appreciates the hard work of our volunteers. They have been instrumental in the creation of the interpretive centre, construction of various structures and general maintenance of the property.

Volunteers are indispensable part of Friends of Hullett, who manage many of our projects. If you have an idea for improvement to the area, or program you might want to see at Hullett, then don't hesitate to bring it to the attention of the staff or directors.

One may volunteer to work at the interpretive centre which displays the habitat at Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area. The displays inform students about the plants and animals most commonly found at Hullett. The communities include marsh, swamp, upland conifer and deciduous forests, floodplain, meadow, native tallgrass praire and agricultural fields. You can help in developing programs that help in complementing the current elementary and secondary school curriculums.

Volunteers are needed at the Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area to help the Eastern Bluebird recover from its dramatic downfall that has occurred in the past. The work will involve tasks such as building and setting up boxes in the proper habitat and monitoring them throughout the seas, as well as helping to fend off competitors, predators and parasites, and cleaning the boxes out at the end of the year.

If you have good skills in using a compass, then you can volunteer in assisting the Hullett in conducting the orienteering course which teaches on how to use the compass.

All donations are 100% tax deductible against annual income.
