Annual Hunting Report for the Year 2005
The wetlands at the Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area include pools, ponds, marshes and swamps. These habitats help with duck reproduction. Four common species of ducks are typically harvested, these include Mallard, Blue-winged teal, Green-winged teal, and Wood ducks. Additional species harvested may include Northern Pintail, Gadwall, American Wigeon, Hooded Merganser and others.
The above pie chart describes the stakes in terms of waterfowl hunted in the first day of hunting. In most cases, there are two hunts from each hunting stake on opening day. The pie chart indicates total waterfowl harvested within the top stakes in the Hullett Provincial Wildlife area. There are 7 top stakes for the year 2005. 19 percentage in Stake 29 means 24 waterfowl were harvested out of the total of 132 waterfowl harvested within the top stakes.
