Is there parking at HPWA?

Yes, there are 20 parking areas. Each parking area can hold at least 8 vehicles.

What is the difference between Zone A and Zone B?

Zone A lies north of the South Maitland river and is where the larger ponds are located. The dykes and lookouts are great for viewing waterfowl and other wetland species. Only waterfowl hunting is permitted here during the open season. There are 50 hunting stakes scattered throughout the A zone. Only 2 hunters are permitted per stake and must hunt within 30m from the stake.

Zone B lies south of the South Maitland River. Most of the walking trails are located here. The habitat is very diverse with large tracts of forest, native tall grass prairie, agricultural fields, swampy areas and fallow fields. All regulated game for WMU 85 B can be hunted during the appropriate open season.

Does it cost to hunt pheasants?

There are no fees to hunt at Hullett BUT, to ensure future hunting opportunities, the Friends of Hullett ask that you purchase a $10 pheasant challenge ticket, $25 membership or make a donation. All money collected on site stays on site to continue our conservation efforts.

What types of game animal are on the property?

Game animals include Deer, waterfowl, pheasants, turkey, grouse, woodcock, rabbits, and coyote. These are the usual game animals hunted at Hullett but any regulated game can be legally hunted.

How do you get to HPWA?

Hullett is located 1 sideroad north of highway 8 between Seaforth and Clinton. We are approximately 1 hr and 15min from Kitchener and London. For more info and a map click here.
